Privacy Policy

TESIM is a technical assistance project funded by the EU and implemented by a consortium led by Particip. TESIM has no legal status/ entity and Particip remains accountable for legal aspects of the personal data protection. The Privacy policy of Particip GmbH has been recently updated in order to be fully compliant with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Here below you will find the principles adhered to in relation to your privacy in the framework of all TESIM courses on the Podia platform.

Data Protection
TESIM takes the protection of your personal data very seriously and strictly observes the regulations of the data protection legislation. Personal data are details of personal or material circumstances of an identified or identifiable individual. In the framework of this Podia course, this means your name and e-mail address.

Information that is not directly linked to your actual identity (e.g. favourite webpages or number of users of a site) is not personal data. Under no circumstances are the collected data sold or passed on to third parties for other reasons. The declaration below gives you an overview of how we guarantee this protection and what sort of data are collected for what purpose.

Data processing on Podia
TESIM automatically collects and stores information transmitted to us by your browser while you use our Podia courses. The kind of information collected includes the following:
  • your identifying information (surname, first name, e-mail address)
  • the TESIM courses on Podia you have signed up to
  • the dates when you signed up to these courses and when you accessed them for the first time 
  • the dates when you started  and when you were last active on these courses
  • the progress you have made on these courses
These data are not amalgamated with other data sources. Furthermore, the data are deleted after access to a course has been removed upon your request. Additional personal details such as address or telephone number are not collected. Moreover, the answers you provide to quizzes in the framework of these courses are not stored by TESIM. 

Use and disclosure of the personal data
We use the personal data made available by you exclusively for the purpose of technical administration of our courses on Podia and to fulfil your wishes and requirements, i.e. to respond to your queries. Your personal data is not passed on, sold or otherwise transmitted to third parties unless this is necessary for the purposes of executing an agreement or you have expressly consented to such activities.

Why do we collect your data?
We collect your data to enable timely access to our courses on Podia you wish to take and to solve any problems you might have in completing them. 

How do we collect your data?
Most of your data is communicated to us by your active intervention. Other data, such as the dates of your signing up, accessing and using our courses are collected automatically through Podia servers.

How long do we store your data?
We keep your data for the time necessary to enable you to access and use our courses on Podia or until you request us to remove access to them. After project finalization your data will be deleted along with the closure of our courses on Podia. 

What are your rights and how can they be exercised?
You may, at any time, request to verify, access, rectify, delete, transfer and object to the use of your data, as well as request the limitation of such use of your data. To do so, simply send us an email at the following address: info@tesim-enicbc.eu
